Ascoli Soccer College Cup-Italy, 2007

The Academy Soccer Cup held in Perugia this Ascoli past June 25th-30th, 2007 for the sixth consecutive time. The tournament was open for boys aged between 12 and 13 years. A session training soccer special day two was also for groups travelling by United States and Canada, allowing them to learn from some of the best Italian coaches Soccer as Bruno Redolfi, former Aston Villa Soccer Academy Technical Director.

"This year's event was great! I hope that we could have something similar to this throughout the USA and Canada, "Jeff Iacopina (parent) remarked. Went to say "I know our players had a fantastci experience not only the game learning and play against some of the best players in Italy, but also a fantastic cultural experience. I am sure he will never forget! "

Only 12 teams participated in the competition. "Most of the teams were from different Italian regions. These groups formed after an extended try-out process through out the year, players are placed in a group and attend the tournament where Scouts professional football look to see who makes the final cut. It is like a funnel, "said Antonio Saviano, Scuola Calcio Technical Director.
